Kitchen Cabinet Spray Painting in Sheffield.
Kitchen cabinet spray painting is one of the jobs we do most often, and one of the easiest wins in any home. The cost is typically a fraction of a new kitchen, the disruption is days not weeks, and the finish is closer to a factory respray than a brush-and-roller paint job.
The process: we remove doors, drawers and handles, mask the carcasses in place, prep all surfaces, then spray the doors and drawer fronts off-site in our dust-controlled spray bay. Carcasses get hand-painted on site with the same colour and a matching topcoat. Hardware gets reattached, hinges adjusted, kitchen back in working order.
Most Sheffield kitchens are between 18 and 30 cabinets. That sits in the typical £600 to £1,800 range, against £8,000+ for replacement. We use Tikkurila, Benjamin Moore Advance or specialist Dulux Diamond for the spray finish depending on the substrate.
It works on melamine, MDF, real wood and most laminate doors. Glass-fronted units, shaker doors, slab doors, all viable. We will tell you up front if anything in your kitchen is not suitable, usually that is just badly water-damaged MDF.

Common Questions
Kitchen Cabinets questions
The questions Richard gets asked most often at the kitchen door. If yours is not here, ring him.
- How long does a kitchen cabinet respray take?
- Three to five days for a typical Sheffield kitchen. Day one is removal, prep and spray-off. Days two to three are carcasses and second coats. Day four or five is reassembly and snagging.
- Can I still use my kitchen during the job?
- Mostly yes. Doors and drawers come off so you will be working from open shelving for a couple of days. Worktops, hob and sink remain usable throughout.
