Exterior Painting in Sheffield.

Exterior painting in Sheffield is a weather job. We pick our windows, prep properly, and use exterior paint that copes with what the Peak District throws at us. Render, masonry, soffits, fascias, gutters, doors and window frames.

For masonry and render we default to Dulux Weathershield Smooth or Textured, depending on the substrate. For wood we use Sadolin, Sikkens or Dulux Weathershield. Lime substrates need a breathable system, see our lime washing service for those.

Sheffield exterior work runs from late spring to early autumn for most properties. Anything dry and over 8 degrees C is fair game, but we will be honest if conditions are not right and reschedule rather than rush a coat.

What is included

  • Pressure wash, scrape, fill and prime as needed before any top coats
  • Two coats minimum, more on south-facing or weather-exposed elevations
  • Scaffold tower or hop ups, ladders only for low-level work
  • Drains and gutters cleared and protected before we start
  • Plants and garden furniture sheeted, paths swept at end of every day

Common Questions

Exterior questions

The questions Richard gets asked most often at the kitchen door. If yours is not here, ring him.

When is the best time of year for exterior painting in Sheffield?
May to September is the safe window. We avoid wet weeks and cold mornings under 8 degrees. October jobs are possible if the forecast looks dry, but we book autumn exterior work cautiously.
Do you do scaffolding?
For two-storey or larger jobs we will arrange tower or scaffold hire and price it into the quote. For low-level work like garage doors, single-storey extensions or ground-floor frames we use our own hop ups.
