Common Questions
The brief, in plain English
The questions Richard gets asked most often at the kitchen door. If yours is not here, ring him.
- Do you cover my part of Sheffield?
- We are based in Hillsborough and cover most of S6, S5, S10 and S3 every week. Further out we still cover S11, S7, S2, S8 and S1, and occasionally take work in S17 and S35 if the job suits the diary. Ring us and we will tell you straight whether we can fit you in.
- How does a quote work?
- We visit, walk through the work, and email a written quote within 48 hours. No call-out fee, no obligation. We try to be specific so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
- What paint brands do you use?
- For interior work we use Dulux Trade as a default, with Farrow and Ball, Little Greene or Mylands where the colour or finish calls for it. For exterior we use Dulux Weathershield. We are happy to use whatever brand you prefer.
- Are you insured?
- Yes. We hold public liability insurance. We can email the certificate when you book.
- How quickly can you start a job?
- Lead times vary by season. We typically book new work 2 to 4 weeks out. Spring and early summer book up fastest. Smaller emergency jobs can usually be slotted in sooner. Ring us for a current diary slot.
- Do you do kitchen cabinet spray painting?
- Yes. Kitchen cabinet spray painting is one of the jobs we do most often. It is usually about 75 percent cheaper than a new kitchen, takes 3 to 5 days, and the finish lasts well. See our kitchen cabinet spray painting service page for the full breakdown.
